On a summer Sunday in Columbus, Georgia, the life of 28-year-old Lamonte Denard Muff was tragically cut short. On August 25, 2019, Muff, a male from Albany, Georgia, was killed in a shooting on Mellon Street. The incident also claimed the life of 24-year-old Lyatray Lisshawn Buchanan, also from Albany, and left a third individual in critical condition. Both Muff and Buchanan sustained multiple gunshot wounds in what investigators described as a targeted act of violence.
