Darrin Bernard Barnes, a 43-year-old male, was fatally shot in Monroe, Georgia, in the early morning hours of Sunday, May 6, 2018. The incident occurred at a party on Tanglewood Drive where an altercation escalated into gunfire. Barnes, a resident of Duluth, was killed as a result of the shooting. The Monroe Police Department and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation were called to the scene to investigate the homicide.
