On a late Thursday evening in September 2017, the life of Jamal McQuarters, a 28-year-old African American male, was tragically cut short. The South Fulton Police Department responded to reports of gunfire at the Hickory Park Apartments located at 4900 Delano Road. Upon their arrival at approximately 11:15 p.m., officers discovered Mr. McQuarters in front of building 8, having sustained a fatal gunshot wound.
