In the quiet community of Statesboro, Georgia, the life of 29-year-old Sharell Mercer came to a tragic end on the evening of Friday, March 10, 2017. A native of Bulloch County, Mercer was a 2006 graduate of Statesboro High School and an employee at a local Dollar General store. She was a mother to five children.
