In the early morning hours of November 14, 2016, the life of 27-year-old Nikco Slaughter, an African American male, was cut tragically short in Columbus, Georgia. Slaughter sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was rushed to the Columbus Midtown Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 3:18 a.m. His body was subsequently sent to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation for an autopsy to determine the official cause of death.
