In the late summer of 2016, the life of Lawaun Flournoy, a 38-year-old Black / African American male from Augusta, Georgia, was tragically cut short. On Saturday, August 27, 2016, Flournoy was discovered deceased inside his residence on Bay Street. An autopsy would later confirm that he had sustained at least one gunshot wound, and the Richmond County Coroner's Office officially ruled his death a homicide.
