On a Saturday night in Atlanta, on October 10, 2015, a violent encounter on Perkerson Road in the vicinity of Metropolitan and Cleveland Avenue turned fatal for 58-year-old Phillip Carter. That evening, at approximately 11 p.m., Carter and another man were the victims of a robbery that ended in gunfire.
