In the early hours of a Wednesday morning, on August 12, 2015, the life of 17-year-old Ontavious Brown was tragically cut short in a burst of gunfire on the 1100 block of Joseph E. Boone Boulevard in northwest Atlanta. The young man, a male, was in the company of a 21-year-old woman when the shooting erupted around 12:30 a.m. Both were struck by bullets, and while the woman was transported to a local hospital for her injuries, Brown succumbed to his wounds.
