On a summer evening in Covington, Georgia, a dispute at a gathering tragically cut short the life of 19-year-old Malik Dean Anthony Muschett. On June 22, 2015, deputies from the Newton County Sheriff's Office were called to a residence in the Enclave at High Gate subdivision. A fight had broken out among a group of men and women in the yard, and during the altercation, gunshots were fired. Muschett was struck and subsequently transported to Newton Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
