Melissa Lee Ball, a 27-year-old Caucasian female from Dalton, Georgia, was tragically killed on Thursday, April 23, 2015, in Varnell, Georgia. Her life was taken by her ex-boyfriend, 36-year-old Christopher Eric Whitmore, in a horrific murder-suicide that also claimed the life of their 8-year-old son, Grayden Lee Whitmore. The violent encounter occurred around 7:00 p.m. in the parking lot of a Shell gas station and McDonald's on Cleveland Highway.
