On November 28, 2024, 34-year-old Cantrelle Hayes-Ross was tragically shot and killed at her daycare facility, Friend Zone Learning, located on Augusta Avenue in Savannah, Georgia. The incident occurred in the early hours of Thanksgiving morning, when police responded to a ShotSpotter alert indicating gunfire in the area. Upon arrival, officers found Hayes-Ross with multiple gunshot wounds; she was pronounced dead at the scene.
