In the early morning hours of January 6, 2015, in Fort Valley, Georgia, the life of 8-year-old Jaimel Anderson was tragically cut short. The young boy was inside an apartment at the Indian Oaks complex on East Church Street when multiple gunshots were fired through the front door. Jaimel, who was reportedly playing video games in the living room, was struck by the gunfire. He sustained gunshot wounds to the chest and leg and was pronounced dead at 2:25 a.m.
