In the summer of 2011, the city of Macon, Georgia, was troubled by a series of violent acts. Among the lives tragically cut short was that of Alfred Smith Jr., a 35-year-old African American man. On the evening of July 25th, Smith was leaving Wings Cafe on Bloomfield Drive when he was fatally shot.
