In the late summer of 1986, the community of Donalsonville, Georgia, was shaken by the death of one of its own. Deputy Sheriff Robert Cunningham, Jr., a 51-year-old male officer with the Seminole County Sheriff's Office, was killed in the line of duty on Wednesday, August 27, 1986.
