In the autumn of 2008, the life of 15-year-old Delvon Butts, a Black/African American male, was tragically cut short on the streets of Baltimore, Maryland. On the evening of Sunday, October 19, 2008, Butts was found in the 200 block of South Smallwood Street, having sustained what would prove to be fatal injuries. He was rushed to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center, but sadly, he succumbed to his wounds.
