Jose Castaneda Jr., a 20-year-old Hispanic male, was tragically shot and killed on February 1, 2019, in Palatine, Illinois. The incident occurred in the 1500 block of Norway Lane as Jose was walking with a friend. The shooting was gang-related, and it was reported that Jose was shot in the back while walking near the Silver Lakes Apartment Complex. The assailants were two teenagers, one of whom was a 15-year-old who fired the shots, and the other, Andre Naydenov, a 16-year-old who drove the car ...
