In the summer of 2007, the city of Baltimore was grappling with a significant wave of violence. On June 16th of that year, this grim reality touched the life of Alvis Harris, a 40-year-old African-American man. His body was discovered in the 3300 block of Annapolis Road, the victim of a brutal act. An investigation determined that Harris had died from blunt force trauma, a clear indication of a violent encounter. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
