Alexander Velazquez, a 21-year-old Hispanic male, tragically lost his life on September 22, 2015, in Chicago, Illinois. Velazquez was shot in the West Elsdon neighborhood on the Southwest Side of Chicago. He succumbed to his injuries two days later, on September 24, 2015, at 3:19 p.m. The shooting occurred in the 5300 block of South Kilbourn Avenue, where Velazquez was found with multiple gunshot wounds. Despite being rushed to Mount Sinai Hospital, he could not be saved.
