Guadalupe Maldonado, a 46-year-old Mexican immigrant, was one of seven victims of the tragic Brown's Chicken Massacre in Palatine, Illinois, on January 8, 1993. Maldonado, along with the restaurant's owners Richard and Lynn Ehlenfeldt, and five other employees, was brutally murdered during an armed robbery. The assailants, Juan Luna and James Degorski, entered the restaurant around closing time and forced the employees into the walk-in freezers before shooting them.
