In the Algiers neighborhood of New Orleans, on a Thursday, June 23, 2022, the life of Rodney Sabatier, a 44-year-old Black or African American man, was tragically cut short. Sabatier fell victim to gun violence, a fact later confirmed by the Orleans Parish Coroner's Office which identified him as the deceased in a shooting that occurred in the area.
