Derell 'Dut' Malik Brooks, a 26-year-old male, was killed on Wednesday, June 8, 2022, in a shooting in the Little Woods section of New Orleans East. The incident took place in the 8000 block of Trapier Street. He was taken to a hospital where he later died.
