On a Thursday afternoon, the life of 17-year-old De'Anthony Walker, an African American male, was violently ended as he walked home from school in Shreveport, Louisiana. The date was January 27, 2022, when Walker was gunned down in the Allendale neighborhood on the 1400 block of Harvard Avenue shortly after 4 p.m. Witnesses described seeing a car approach Walker before gunshots were fired and he attempted to flee.
