In the quiet residential area of Baton Rouge, just south of the Clark Park Golf Course, a burst of violence shattered the afternoon calm on September 25, 2021. Cedric Clay, a 41-year-old male, was sitting in his vehicle at 12354 Leonidas Drive when he was fatally wounded. The attack was sudden and brutal, as Clay was struck by multiple gunshots around 1:00 p.m. One witness recalled hearing the chilling sound of approximately ten shots echoing from a few blocks away.
