In the late hours of May 19, 2021, the life of 21-year-old Deveuntae Patterson was tragically cut short in a burst of gunfire at an apartment complex in Shreveport, Louisiana. Just before 9:30 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 4500 block of North Market Street following reports of a shooting. Upon their arrival, they discovered a grim scene.
