On the evening of March 6, 2020, Skye Q. Myles, a 37-year-old African American man, was fatally shot in the Central City area of New Orleans. The incident occurred at approximately 9:00 p.m. in the 2000 block of Foucher Street, where officers from the New Orleans Police Department responded to a report of gunfire. Upon their arrival, they discovered Myles on the ground, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
