In the summer of 2019, a life was tragically cut short in Ruston, Louisiana. On Thursday, July 11, Tyrea Davis, a 24-year-old male, was shot in the 600 block of Martin Luther King Avenue. Davis, who was living in Ruston but was originally from Bastrop, was transported to a local hospital following the shooting, where he ultimately succumbed to his injuries.
