An evening in Natchitoches, Louisiana, turned tragic on December 13, 2018, when 23-year-old Robert Griffin, a Black male, was fatally shot. The Natchitoches Police Department received a 911 call around 6:50 p.m. reporting a shooting near the Texas St. Grocery. When officers arrived at the scene, they found Griffin with gunshot wounds. He was rushed to a local medical facility but ultimately died from his injuries.
