In the late afternoon hours of May 4, 2018, Desmond Hardnett, a 29-year-old male, was fatally wounded in a drive-by shooting in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The incident occurred around 5:40 p.m. in the 2200 block of Nairn Drive. Hardnett was with a 32-year-old woman who was also shot but sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Both victims were transported to a local hospital where Hardnett ultimately succumbed to his injuries.
