In the winter of 2017, a life was abruptly cut short in the Terrytown neighborhood of Gretna, Louisiana. Virgilio Pena-Estevez, a 37-year-old man, was found fatally wounded on the evening of Tuesday, December 12th. The Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office responded to reports of a shooting and discovered Pena-Estevez, who had sustained at least one gunshot wound. Tragically, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
