Demond Johnson, a 27-year-old Black male, was fatally shot on the evening of October 19, 2016, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The incident took place around 8:30 p.m. near an apartment building in the 2700 block of Alaska Street, not far from the campus of Louisiana State University.
