In the early morning hours of September 29, 2016, a confrontation in the 9th Ward of New Orleans turned fatal for 53-year-old Benny Weary. The incident occurred around 3 a.m. in the 1900 block of Gallier Street, where a homeowner, 73-year-old Abraham Venson, discovered two men in his garage.
