In the summer of 2016, a young life was tragically cut short in the Hollygrove neighborhood of New Orleans. Ja'Shad Romel Simmons, an 18-year-old male, was gunned down on June 11th of that year. For fifteen days, he fought for his life, a testament to his will to survive, but ultimately succumbed to his injuries on June 26th, leaving a community to mourn and investigators with the task of finding those responsible for his untimely death.
