Juan Moreno, 32, was killed in the early hours of April 23, 2016, in New Orleans, Louisiana, when gunfire tore through a stretch of Tulane Avenue in Mid-City that was otherwise quiet at that hour. Police were called to the 4000 block around 3 a.m. and arrived to find the aftermath of a double shooting: two men down with gunshot wounds, the scene still raw and unsettled.
