In the late hours of a Sunday in Acadia Parish, Louisiana, the life of 21-year-old Kaleb Gibson of Crowley was tragically cut short. On October 18, 2015, Gibson was fatally wounded in a shooting that occurred at the intersection of North Avenue B and West Second Street in West Crowley. The incident took place around 2 a.m. as a crowd had gathered following the conclusion of the 79th International Rice Festival. In the chaos, another individual also sustained minor injuries.
