In the Desire neighborhood of New Orleans, a tragic scene unfolded late on a Wednesday night in June of 2015. Inside a residence on Metropolitan Street, 23-year-old Melissa Hunter was discovered on her bedroom floor, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
