In the early hours of a Friday morning in New Orleans, on February 26, 2010, the life of 23-year-old Michael Nguyen was tragically cut short. Responding to a call of shots fired at approximately 1:30 a.m., police discovered Nguyen in the 4800 block of Palace Street in eastern New Orleans. He had sustained a single, fatal gunshot wound to the head. The initial investigation offered few leads, leaving a void of information about the circumstances that led to the young man's violent death.
