In the afternoon hours of a Wednesday in New Orleans, the life of 23-year-old Calvinton 'Minkie' Wallace was tragically cut short. On February 3, 2010, Wallace, a Black male, was gunned down in a brazen double homicide in the 1300 block of France Street. Another man, who remained unidentified in the initial aftermath, was also killed in the incident. The tranquility of the neighborhood was shattered by the violence that left two young men dead.
