In the pre-dawn hours of Thanksgiving Day 2006, the life of Karry Daily was tragically cut short on the streets of New Orleans. The city, still bearing the scars of Hurricane Katrina from the year prior, was once again the scene of sorrow and violence. On November 23rd, at approximately midnight, the sound of gunfire echoed near the intersection of Pear and General Ogden streets in the Hollygrove neighborhood.
