Coryonna Treasure Young, a 15-year-old African American girl from Fayetteville, North Carolina, tragically lost her life on October 21, 2022. Coryonna was a sophomore at Seventy-First High School and the daughter of Fayetteville city councilmember Courtney Banks-McLaughlin. On the evening of her death, Coryonna was found with a fatal gunshot wound inside her boyfriend's home in the 2000 block of Maitland Drive.
