On January 24, 2021, 14-year-old Dayvion Jones was fatally shot on Hazelwood Road in Columbus, Ohio. Dayvion was walking home when he was confronted by a group of men in a stolen SUV. During the confrontation, one of the men pulled out a gun and shot Dayvion, who was later rushed to OhioHealth Riverside Methodist Hospital but succumbed to his injuries.
