Derjuan Elston "PeeWee" Gambrell, a 27-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on July 4, 2019, in Toledo, Ohio. He was a former standout football player at Rogers High School and briefly played for Ohio State University. On that fateful day, Gambrell was shot in the abdomen after an argument with Timothy Simmons, the brother of Gambrell's girlfriend.
