On January 8, 2022, 17-year-old Kristopher Heard, a Black male, was tragically shot multiple times in the upper torso while in the East Germantown section of Philadelphia, PA. He was found lying in the street on Washington Lane around 5:15 p.m. and was pronounced deceased at the scene by medical personnel. The incident was part of a violent weekend in Philadelphia that saw multiple shootings and two teenage fatalities.
