In the late evening of September 9, 2019, a tragic event unfolded in the East Germantown neighborhood of Philadelphia, forever altering the lives of a young family. Acacia Nykira Byrd, a 22-year-old Black female, was driving a blue Honda Odyssey when she was fatally shot. The incident occurred at approximately 10:52 p.m. on the 5700 block of McMahon Street.
