Elijah Laurence Paris, a 21-year-old African American man, was fatally shot on the evening of Wednesday, April 5, 2017, in the Shadyside neighborhood of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The incident occurred shortly before 6 p.m. in the 5500 block of Kent Street.
