Carmelo E. Narvaez, 39, a Hispanic/Latino male from Allentown, Pennsylvania, was killed by gunfire on the afternoon of March 23, 2016, in south Allentown. Public reports described the shooting as happening near a playground, a setting that made the violence especially alarming because children were nearby when shots rang out.
