In the early evening of January 16, 2015, Gerardo Astacio-Leon, a 48-year-old man, was fatally shot inside his home in the Eastwick neighborhood of Philadelphia. Police were called to his residence on Theodore Street near 71st Street shortly before 6 p.m., where they discovered him suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. He was transported to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
