In the winter of 2014, the life of 25-year-old Stephen Mysyk was tragically cut short in what police described as an execution-style slaying in the Olney section of Philadelphia. On the evening of February 19th, Mysyk and another man were shot in the head on Palethorp Street. Mysyk, a male resident of Mascher Street, was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after 8 p.m.
