Linda Kay Rosen, a 27-year-old woman from Pittsburgh, PA, tragically lost her life on February 16, 1988. She was a social worker at St. Francis Medical Center when she was fatally shot by Edith Anderson, a 31-year-old woman with a personal vendetta against the hospital. Anderson, who claimed to be a former mental patient at the hospital, walked into the psychiatric emergency room and opened fire, killing Rosen and taking three people hostage.
