On a cold Thursday evening in St. Louis, on February 9, 2017, the life of Travis Scales, a 35-year-old Black/African American man, was tragically cut short. Originally from Cape Girardeau, Missouri, Scales was in the West End neighborhood of the city when violence erupted. In the 5600 block of Enright Avenue, he was found suffering from a fatal gunshot wound to his chest.
The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department was called to the scene, where they discovered Scales inside a vehicle. D
