Shelley Sikes, a 19-year-old woman from Texas City, disappeared on May 24, 1986, while driving home from her job at Gaido's restaurant on the Galveston Seawall. Her car was discovered the following day on Interstate 45 near Dickinson, but she was never found. Despite extensive investigations, her body was never recovered, and she was presumed dead.
